Black Bean Brownies

Updated: Jan 8, 2022

Black Bean Brownies are a staple in our house! What’s there not to love?? Chocolate, fiber, protein & healthy fats— yes!!! My boys actually call them “chocolate cake” and ask me to make them all the time cause they love them so much. #momwin Super easy to make. Get your kids involved and have them help you. Don’t hide the black beans. I’m big on being open on what they are eating and why they are eating it!

When my boys see that can of black beans they get so exited! We talk about the benefits of black beans and how those nutrients help them.

Black Beans are a legume. They are loaded with protein and fiber! They contain iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc & copper, potassium, & vitamin B6 (just to name a few)! These nutrients help maintain and strengthen your bones, may help lower blood pressure & aids in a healthy digestion which will help with weight management.

Black beans are filled with phytochemicals and antioxidants! They contain selenium which may help prevent inflammation and can also help detoxify cancer-causing compounds in the body by aiding in the liver enzyme function.

Your kids may not care about all the benefits, but just make it simpler if you’re getting them involved. Talk about how good their body will feel when they choose healthy foods. I like to keep things positive!
