Core • Balance •Stability

Updated: Nov 16, 2022

Core training is so much more then just working your abdominals!!

So what exactly is the core?? The structures that make up the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex (LPHC).

The Transverse Abdominals (TA) are the main muscles that help stabilize the spine & hips during movements.

I always talk about how your body is that interconnected chain. And an efficient and functional core will provide stabilization during integrated dynamic movements.

Which basically means your abdominals help create that stability for overall body strength & coordination, plus will help optimize your breathing.

No matter what fitness level you are at, you will be better able to transfer energy from your lower to upper body more efficiently when you have that strong, functional core!

It’s essential to fire up those deep core muscles and enhance your glute activation to help your body move & perform better to withstand the demands of daily living activities:

▪️cleaning

▪️carrying around little ones

▪️doing laundry

▪️carrying in grocery bags

▪️running around with your kids

▪️gardening

▪️daily multi-tasking
