Why Start Here?
Athlete development is about more than practicing sport-specific skills. Athletes need a foundation of strength, speed, power, mobility, stability, and body control to support the physical demands of their sport.
An athlete might be fast but struggle to decelerate and change direction. They might have good strength but lack balance or mobility. Looking at different areas of athletic performance helps uncover those gaps and gives you a better understanding of what your athlete needs to develop.
This assessment provides a starting point. It helps you recognize what your athlete already does well, identify areas that may benefit from additional training, and make more informed decisions about what to work on next.
The goal isn't to compare your athlete to someone else or simply chase a higher score. It's to understand where they are now, build on their strengths, develop areas that need attention, and create a more complete athlete.
Created by AJ Core Performance to help parents take a more informed approach to their athlete's development.
This assessment is intended for general fitness education and athletic development. It is not a medical evaluation or diagnostic tool. Stop any movement that causes pain.
